On the 28th of October till the 31st, the IC football team traveled to Amman, Jordan to compete against several schools. They traveled with the two coaches Mr. Rabih Abou Jaoudeh and Mr. Osman Osman. They faced victory and loss; however, they didn't give up and their sportsmanship resulted in amazing results. Hani Gholam interviewed two students that went on this trip. The students are, Giorgio Rahal and Raphael Yeretzian. They answered some questions that will tell you more about their trip.
- How many schools competed in the competition? What are their names?
- 4 Schools competed. They are: . Amman Academy (AA)
. Amman Bacaleuriate School (ABS)
. Kings Academy (KA)
. American Comunity School (ACS)
- What were the age groups?
- IC's age groups were from 13 to 14. The rest of the schools were from 15-18
-How many games did you play, and how many did you win?
-6 matches: .1st match 4-0 vs. AA (We lost)
. 2nd match 1-0 vs. KA (We lost)
. 3rd march 1-0 vs. ABS (We lost)
. 4th match: 1-1 vs. ACS (We tied) After those 4 matches, we qualified for the semi-finals
Semi-Finals: 1st match : 2-0 vs. AA (We lost)
2nd match: 2-1 vs ACS (We won)
-What place did you rank?
-3rd place
-Did you win any other trophies?
- Yes, Sportsmanship Trophy
-Which hotel did you stay in?
-Arena Space Hotel
-Did you visit any sites in Jordan?
- Yes, we went to the Dead Sea and we enjoyed it a lot. We also visited Mount Nebo and Makdaba.
